It was a great purchase! I would pay for assembly next time. My problem was with shipping which was completely out of the manufactures hands! I know that it would be almost impossible to do but I wish the hardware came in each box in case they are delivered mixed up and out of order.
A great bunk bed. It isn’t totally clear online, but the kit comes all the parts you need to make this either a twin over full or twin over twin. The instructions walk through the twin over full steps by default, but there are only a couple of different steps if you’d rather make it twin over twin.
Assembly is lengthy but not crazy. Everything ended up being sized exactly right and came together perfectly. Pre-drilled and Pre-started holes for door hinges were in perfect spots and everything came together smoothly. I’ve seen reviews panning the instructions and saying assembly is a real pain, but I do not think that is true. It’s a big project, and the details really matter — simply pay attention to where holes are in pictures to determine which ways different pieces need to face, and you’ll be fine. All told, it took about 5-hours start to finish without rushing.
Oh, and make sure you have a hex bit for your screw gun or drill. Pretty much the whole thing assembles with long hex bolts that would take a very long time to do by hand. Invest in a drill and thank yourself later. Or find a friend and borrow one. Just don’t go crazy and over-tighten anything.
This is my second Bedz King Tall bunk bed - the previous one was honey stain for my older daughter. They have improved the design a bit in the past four years, and it is even sturdier. Moreover, the parts are very well labelled now so there was no confusion putting it together. It took me about 8 hours to assemble this bed by myself - just had someone help me lift the top bunk onto the bottom. But this is a really solid bed!
My only wish is that they had the option of a side ladder for the tall mission style bunk bed. Still, nice product at a reasonable price (~$400 on sale).
Love it. Just what I was looking for. My 9 and 4 year old love this bunk bed. I like the stairs. We are handy so it only took us 4.5 hours to put together!
We put this together in about 30 minutes super easy to assemble. I love that all the slats are pre drilled and screw down so they stay in place. I put a shelf from Ikea underneath for storage and it works great saves so much space in my sons room.
So I had been eyeing this bed for months before purchasing. My 9 yr old son and toddler share a room and this helps with maximizing the space. The quality seems very sturdy. I got up on the top bunk and im about 210lbs and it held me up just fine... same with the bottom bunk. I love the little cabinets and storage space.. great for maximizing the space as well. I dont have any complaints. however I did not even attempt to put this thing together myself. I hired a guy who does assembly projects as a side gig. It did take him about 4 hours .. he said it wasnt too bad .. it just took so long because he was doing it himself and was taking time to make sure he was assembling everything correctly. When we move I will have to hire someone to dissasemble move it and re-assemble... Im a single mom and thinks its worth mentioning incase you order it just be prepared for that factor .
These beds certainly met our expectations- I would put the quality well above IKEA even. The bed is very solid and the paint job was good (it arrived with one ding from shipping, but not bad). The trundle bed was not quite so good with a few more scratches, but it was all easy to construct and it looks great.. and safe!
Honestly this was hard to put together but it is worth it. A headboard came in with a crack (at no fault of the seller they wrapped it very well) I contacted the seller and they sent me a new one asap. The seller was super helpful. I did put another railing with if cause I was worried my 6 year old would roll out cause we have a thick mattress, and works great to keep all the big stuff animals in the bed. It is super roomie under the bed. We have a little wardrobe on one side and a kitchen set on the other. This is awesome for our small home. We could finally have all her toys in her room and not in the living room

Great bunk bed - excellent value if you put in the work
