5 undamaged packages arrived when scheduled. Packages are heavy and may require 2 people on some of them to move around. The assembly took approx. 10 hours and every piece to assemble the beds were present with intuitive instructions to assemble. The pieces are real wood (not partical board) and this was a pleasant surprise. The heavy duty screw bolts use a regular Allen wrench size so assembling with the cordless screw gun made it a snap.
The kids love them and the drawers under the bunks are massive in size. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for stair bunk beds for their children.
We love this bed, took some time and effort to put it all together but it looks great and the girls love it. I really wanted the drawers under the bottom bunk but the trundle bed was the only option.
Beautiful and would buy again in a heart beat.
Side note, it did come with two slats missing and seller quickly sent those peices to me without any issues. Great service and product. Also, be forewarned, the color is more Orange than brown.
We have had this in our daughters room for a year. It is holding up very well. She is 12 and still has made the under side a little cave with lights and all.
We bought the full-over-full to replace an older twin-over-twin and the first things I noticed out of the box were:
1) The quality of packaging. All parts were well protected and there was no damage.
2) The quality of the components. All real wood with a nice finish. The hardware was quality, as well. No stripped screws!
The directions were very simple to follow and all of the components were labeled. One thing I noticed was that the labels were applied on the part facing the same direction as what was in the illustration - it made assembly really straightforward.
The bed took me about 3-1/2 hours to assemble. All you need is a hammer, screwdriver, and Allen wrench (included). The instructions state that this is a 2-person assembly and there were some steps where having a second person would have helped a little bit. The only time you have to have 2 people is when you lift the top bunk onto the bottom one.
Make sure you have plenty of room for assembly. You basically are assembling two full-size beds on the floor before placing one on top of the other. Also, if you are putting the top mattress on by yourself, you can do that before adding the last component (footboard). You'll have to move the mattress a little to add a couple of screws.
The stairs took about 4 hours, but I could have knocked them out in about 3 had I not been tired & hungry. I still have to assemble the drawers, but that should be a quick and easy job.
Once it was place, I was really impressed with the sturdiness of this bed!

Brilliant!
I bought 3 sets and these are great space savers! I have 3 boys that have friends over often. We have plenty of room for everyone!

My kids (3 yr old & 4 yr old) absolutely love this bed. The stairs are great. Safer then the ladders I see.
