This bunkbed is awesome! I wanted one with stairs over the ladder because of my little one & I couldn't find any good ones anywhere. This one was spendy but seemed more promising so we took a chance. It arrived in 4 huge boxes. Took 2 men 4 1/2 hours to put together just because there were a lot of steps to do but otherwise pretty straight forward. Had to redo a couple pieces because they were backwards but otherwise easy just time consuming. Definitely recommend. Quality seems great, love the non-slip strips on the stairs. I don't like that there isn't anything to guide the drawers under the bed but it really isn't a big deal. This is gonna last years I'm sure!!!
kids love this bed. hard to make the bed without pulling mattress out, but thats all bunk beds.
i built the entire bed myself. the hardest part was putting the 2nd bed on top of the first. this is the only thing i needed help with. otherwise you can do 99% of it yourself.
couldn't find the instructions till I already put it together, it was taped to the box, but real easy to put it together without it. had it done in about 45 min. real sturdy
Right out of the box, I was in love with the honey color and sturdy feel of real wood. It was easy to put together, all pieces fit well. The finished bed looks great and doesn't rock or sway even with a teenage boy on top. Corner bed posts are thick and solid. I think this bed will last for years as a bunk and later as 2 twin beds. I am very impressed with the high quality!
Purchaced for my 4 year old and 19 month old. Decent quality for the price, it is what I expected based off of the reviews I read. Overall I reccomend this product. My 4 year old and myself put this together. This took us about 10 hours to assemble over 2 day, however, I was letting my 4 year old "help" and although we went slow, it was overall a fun project. It's not hard to assemble, just takes awhile. I reccomend having two adults set this up, one person work on the bed, and the other person set up the stairs (and slide if they are fast) separately (Divide and conquer). You can set up stairs and slide in a different room if there is a space issue, these pieces can easily be moved once it's assembled. The person working on the bed will need assistance on holding parts here and there, but no real muscle needed. My 4 year old daughter was able to help me prop it up, so not hard. I would estimate 2 adults could knock this out in 4 hours. The only additional tool you will need is an electric screw driver. I chose not to screw in the slide to the bed, as I like the option of removing the slide... particularly at bed time, or to create more space in the room when needed. I also chose not to screw in the wood slats on the bottom bunk. I have yet to screw the stair case to the bed. At this time I don't feel like it's a safety issue as it is pretty sturdy. I am chosing not do do this because I like the option of being able rearrange the stairs and the slide if I rearrange the room. I also purchaced two additional side rails for the bottom bunk that lily and max offers, this is so I can still have the crib-affect for my youngest. I am also choosing not to screw these in, as I like the option of being able to remove them.. I also purchased the pink curtain for the bottom bunk. Overall, I am happy with my order and the bunk bed.
Negative-ish Comments: the pink curtain is more of a bubble gum pink. I think I was expecting it to be darker. Also, shipping was delayed on my order, but that wasn't a big deal to me. Pieces #14 and #15 on the stairs were switch. and it was late and I was tired, so it took me about 30 minutes to figure out that the numbers were accidently switched. This is not high-end-quality; parts can break if you misshandle while assembling. Lastly. I don't like when you lay on the bottom bunk and you look up, and you see the wood slatts. I wish there was something that hid these, but im just being picky.
My kids love their new bed. I have a 5 and 7 year old and they love sleeping together on the top bed. They use the bottom to play in. We set it up with a curtain and lights for them to use as a fort. We had the free assembly through and they were really nice. Took two of them like 2 hours to assemble. Would repurchase!
