We really liked the look of the bed and the bottom bunk went together really well and fast but the top did not line up right and was more difficult to put together. Overall though we were pleased.
Moved our 7yr old from full bed to this. Working out well. Bed’s sturdy and stairs make it easy for him as well as us to put him to bed. Assembling instructions could be improved, especially illustrations so be patient and definitely have another person help out.
Arrived before expected. Main box was busted up on both ends and pieces were sliding out of it. Some pieces scuffed up. However, we were in a bind and needed the bed like NOW so we kept the bed. All pieces were there, assembly went well and easy, sturdiness is good and value for the money is great. Grandchildren love the bed! It is only 5ft 2" in height which makes it awesome! Pretty bed! Packaging just left much to be desired. I recommend the bed as long as the packaging is in tack.
The Bonco-Kids Bunk Bed Twin-Full with Trundle Twin
Easy to assemble, sturdy, firm bed. Ideal for kids not for adults.
If you follow the instruction, you won't have any problem assembling it, I recommend using a drill (If you know how to handle them), with an H4 hex point 4 mm or 5/32" and a Phillips tip screwdriver
Take extra attention when assembling the small stair, for me, the provided screws did not secure it well, so I put some bolts of the same size, see in the picture those are not the ones provided.
It's a shame that I didn't receive the Trundle Twin Bed box which goes on the bottom, somehow the shipping service company lost it, I hope you guys get it complete
The only reason I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 is because when I ordered it the color said espresso and it is VERY MUCH cherry! It doesn’t match the other furniture in the room which sucks but he’s 4 and doesn’t care. Also make sure you are careful with the pieces because a board broke straight in half when it barely tipped over.
Bed was received badly damaged and hardware missing, but that was the fault of the handling during shipping. I called the Donco company and the next day they shipped out replacements for the damaged parts and the missing hardware! Bed is up and my kids love it!!
Mission Bunk Bed with Trundle Twin/Twin Dark Grey, received with a few minor dings to the wood. Acceptable for the price. Fumes were present for several days even with a window open. Definitely have a drill/electric screwdriver for the bed slats. The slats were slightly warped and didn't easily fit the frame. That was the only real frustration with assembly. My two boys (5 & 9) have been using this bunk bed set for five months (with extra use due to more time at home) and still love it. The bed slats on the bottom bunk had to be reattached once but that was definitely the fault of the warped wood and my assembly efforts. I recommend a 6 or 7 inch mattress for the trundle, not a ton of clearance between th trundle and bottom bunk.
Took a while for my husband to put together and he’s really good at building/assembling. It seems very good quality though, and most importantly safe. Bonus is that my girls are absolutely obsessed with it. There was one pretty noticeable blemish on it that we saw as it was being put together. It was not serious enough for us to take all our progress apart and return, although by that point we were desperate to be done with it.
