My trusty assistant, (Dad), and I were able to whip this together and dispose of the packaging in about two hours. The headboard is delivered pre-assembled. I have been sleeping on it for about a month. The pros: easy to assemble, sturdy and yet light, therefore easy to move across the bare floor to sweep under, also no excessive packaging. Cons: the slats are not that strong and I am a bigger person, so I have to be careful when I get on the bed. Also, my memory foam mattress slip-slides about on the frame. There are sticky strips, but I dont want to get the glue on my new mattress. I would have preferred the design have a lip to contain the mattress. Other than that very satisfied with my purchase.
Update: Its been a year and already, the supports in the middle wobble every time I get on or off the bed. Does not feel sturdy.
The bed is very sturdy and holds the mattress without a box spring. This makes it very solid-feeling, not wobbly, or squeaky. Much better than I expected for the price!

This is a solid, heavy wood frame. Ive read that it slides but we have a heavy duty mattress and no problems. The only thing i could say is that is not great is if you have 2 pillows the headboard is covered. however we just slant the top pillows down and it is fine. All in all, very happy with this bed.
