I was drawn to this product based on the fact it was solid wood, a simple mission-type design, and the price. The Antique espresso color description left me a bit mystified, but other reviewers commented that it wasnt as dark as it sounded. So I took a chance and am happy I did. The bed is a warm medium-to-dark brown, just what I wanted. It arrived very well packaged with all the parts and even extra hardware! My husband said it went together like a jigsaw puzzle--I think that was a positive :) What he means is that all the parts were clearly marked as to what bit attached to what; the instructions were functional, mostly just following the drawing and diagrams step by step. He was impressed with the novel design for placing the slats, they come out perfectly spaced. No snags and it looks beautiful and solid.
Based on the pics, I was expecting something a little more modern looking but it really has more of a farmhouse feel once you set it up. Its too much of a hassle to take it down and send it back so Im stuck with it and I cant really argue since it was so cheap. Its very study. There is no way this bed is going to fall apart. It was packed very well and super easy to put together. It was confusing because there were so many bolts left over and nowhere to put them, but they provide extras of each kind which is convenient.
This platform bed is exactly what I wanted. I bought the king sized frame. The height from the floor is great and all of the lines are clean and visually appealing. Assembly was easy and the frame seems very sturdy. The finish is pretty easily scratched though. So be careful not to let your box spring or mattress glide onto the slats. Love this bed and would totally recommend it.
The product for the price is outstanding. Im more tech-savvy with IoT, not building things, so the simple design and crystal clear instructions were a welcome relief! I put it together in about an hour, which includes about 15-20 minutes where I stopped to text and send some emails, so it should take about 30-45 mins. As another reviewer suggested, lay the pieces out as they should be and dont tighten the screws until its put together and there should be no issues with assembly. The wood is real and I found no off-putting odor at all.
* Please note that although it may say Prime, its still up to UPS or whoever delivers it to actually deliver it, so the seller/manufacturer may want to have a chat with UPS about their lack of desire to deliver heavy items. The packaging was completely compact and secured, so no issues there.
Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend - just make alternate plans while UPS decides when they feel like unloading it from the truck...
The packaging was pretty secure and nothing was damaged. The assembly was easy and straightforward (it took my fiance less than an hour to put it together). The only reason I gave this 4 stars was because of the color. In some areas, especially those where two wood pieces meet, the color is definitely lacking or faded. Other than that, its a good frame. Additionally, I have a 12in. memory foam mattress and only about 12in. of the headboard shows... I wish more could be seen but its not terrible.
The bed is easy to put together. My 19 yr. old daughter did it. The wood is beautiful. It is perfect for her first college apartment. Just what she wanted.
I bought this bed and a desk from . They are both very nice. The quality of the wood is very good and the installation couldnt be easier. Very happy with the product!
Assembled our twin bedframe today. After much searching for a simple, decently made bed, Im pleased that this is what we ended up with. A perfect fit for our twin size latex mattress. The height of this frame is comfortable with only the mattress and no additional foundation (which was what we were hoping for). Has a nice simple appearance and looks much nicer than other wood bedframes we considered that cost much more. At least $100 less than the basic bed sold at furniture stores, and way higher quality than the unfinished wood bed from the big box assemble it yourself store. We are very sensitive to smells and off-gassing, and are pleased to report that out of the box, there was no bothersome smell. It assembled easily and cleanly.
