This bed looks so nice. I bought it for my four-year-old and he absolutely loves it. Putting it together was a challenge, and we consider ourselves pretty good at putting furniture like this together. Pieces didnt quite line up, some things had to be sort of forced and the instructions were about as unclear as they could have been. Luckily, once together, its really sturdy. Heres the real reason Im giving it 4 stars (and frankly considered going even lower, but overall the beds nice and a decent quality for the price). Why, oh why, oh why, oh why, does that little leg need to be in the middle on the side of the bed? None of our other bed frames have it - so clearly there are other options for stability. I smashed my toes on it a dozen times already (once resulting in a broken toe) and the kiddo smashes in to it when he gets up at night to go to the bathroom. Its in the wrong place. Its awful. Im considering sawing it off and taking my chances with the bed...
Great frame for the money, looks nice and is very strong. Kinda reminds me of style. Gotta watch that center leg.. so easy to bang feet, especially if u cover with a bed ruffle.. ouch!! About hr to get it all set up
I read other reviews saying that this bed could come with defects; however, mine came perfectly packaged and manufactured (whew). I happened to buy this on sale, and for less than $200, including delivery, this is one of the best furniture purchases I have ever made. The bed itself is beautiful, made of real wood. The finish is as pictured (though a bit lighter than you would expect from espresso). It took about an hour to assemble with a friend; no arguments ensued. Unpacking and cleaning up was the most awkward part. I think I could have put this together alone, as a 52 woman, in less than 2 hours. Ive had this for a few weeks and so far it seems sturdy and quiet, holding up to very enthusiastic 80 lb Shepherman who like to jump on it as well as my amorous partner who helped me test it out ;-) I only wish in a perfect world there was some way to ship back all this packaging so it wouldnt go to waste.

Sturdy, easy to put together, and lots of storage underneath. I really thought Id miss having a box spring, but I cant even tell its not there. Great for small spaces. Very happy with the quality and price of this bed.
