Wood does end up cracking a little after a few months, but for the price it is a great bed for the kiddos.

    pretty acceptable for the price

There were several scratches on the pieces when it arrived. One is so deep, some of the foam packing got in the scratch, and now it appears as a white line on a piece that is showing. The stickers to label the pieces were difficult to read and it was nearly impossible to get them off without leaving more visible scratches. None of this is a huge deal, pretty acceptable for the price. The instructions for assembly are awful. Most pieces need to go a certain way, or be planned to be the back or the front from the beginning, but the instructions do not detail any of this. We had to take apart and re/assemble multiple pieces. Even if you read all the way through the book to begin, make sure you read several steps ahead before you complete each step.

Easy to assemble. Seems fine after 6 weeks.

Easy to assemble by two people. Youll need two people to lift the upper bunk for installation. Looks and feels sturdy for kids. I wouldnt use this as a bunk bed for regular adult or older teenager use. My 7 and 4 year olds havent broken it yet. Customer service was good when I told them one of the screws theyd sent was stripped. Im thinking of adding a board over the slats for the upper bunk or buying more slats. It looks fine as/is but I get the sense that the slats are too narrow and are not good for the mattress or the sleeper. My uninformed opinion.

Assembled easily. It is put together using dowels and bolts

This bed came packaged extremely well. even with the rough handling a package of this weight endures, there wasnt a scratch on any of the boards. Assembled easily. It is put together using dowels and bolts. I chose to put wood glue in the dowel holes on the parts that never need to be disassembled (Headboards and footboards) Well done Dorel! I would definitely buy again. all boards were high quality, no pressboard.

Really basic / nothing special. You can lift the top bunk by pushing against it from the bottom bunk. Not safe!

This bed is beautiful and I love the color, the bed is the exact same color as my sons dresser. It was pretty simple to put together and it is sturdy

Difficult assembly but very satisfied with finished product

Would have been a 5 if easier to put together. Took 2 adults about 6 hours with a couple small breaks. Also there were a couple issues with pre drilled holes that werent accurate making it difficult to connect a few parts. But now that its up, we love it and its very sturdy.
