Was worried about squeaking like the previous metal bunk bed

Quality SOLID wood bed for a reasonable price. Was worried about squeaking like the previous metal bunk bed But this solid wood bed is sturdy and definitely no squeaks whatsoever. I purchased it for my 13year old and 16year old daughters. Was not able to afford a bigger place as my kids got bigger, so this bed is extra comfortable as well as a space saver while they have to continue to share a bedroom. I can only assume its easy to put together because my kids put it together themselves and it only took them about 2 hours. It took about 45mins to organize all the parts first then about 2 hours to put it all together. They love it and so do I.

    Pleased

Great quality very durable and solid structure Latter is a bit narrow and depending on where you place in room can be awkward to get up/and/down

    Overwhelming chemical smell

My husband put the bed together immediately after we received it. I noticed there was a chemical smell, but I figured it would dissipate. We went to dinner, and as we walked in the front door after dinner, the nasty chemical smell hit us. This bed made the entire first floor of my house reek within 2 hours. The chemical stench was so overpowering we had to open windows and turn on fans. We disassembled it the next day, and we are in the process of returning it. I do not trust this company, and the Dorel rep we spoke to hung up on us when we called to ask about the smell. He kept repeating we use no chemicals whatsoever, which is obviously a lie. Ive never owned a piece of new furniture that smelled like this.

    Good Bed but

Overall a good affordable bunk bed that was not too hard to assemble. the only negative is the slats on the bottom bed are spaced too far apart causing the mattress to fall on either end. The only remedy is to add your own additional slats or buy a boxspring

So far it has held sturdy and we havent had any other issues

We received two of the same pieces and were missing a piece. We were able to assemble the bed, however my husband had to drill out the predrilled holes more when some of the wood began to split. So far it has held sturdy and we havent had any other issues.

    Would Recommend

This product wasnt difficult to build. All of the pieces were labeled. It was just a matter of matching. My children loved the bed. It was sturdy. It can be taken apart kept as a separate full size and twin size bed if you wished. I do wish there was more room in between the bunk.

The bunk bed is a rich dark brown as it appears online and is very sturdy. My 6 and 9 yr old boys love

The bunk bed took some extra time to arrive due to a carrier delay. The box was ripped but no damage to the items inside. Took me about 4hrs by myself, but part of that time was due to me checking that I had all items and organizing everything. I also had trouble with one screw not fitting but I eventually got it with a different angle. The bunk bed is a rich dark brown as it appears online and is very sturdy. My 6 and 9 yr old boys love it!
