When it became evident that distance-learning was going to be a semi-permanent thing we knew we needed to get our child their own desk instead of just using an adult desk and swivel office chair. This one had good reviews and we liked that it was mostly made of metal as well as had the ability to grow/adjust. It is quite sturdy and can withstand a rather rambunctious/wild child. Every day it gets crayon and pencil and marker and other odd things on the surface and we just wipe it clean and sanitize it- easy peasy. The desk and the chair have adjustable heights but its quite awkward to actually change them. To raise them you just lift up, which is annoying because if you lift the chair to move it then the legs get taller. To make the legs of the desk or chair shorter you need to flip it upside down - the locks are triggered by pressure, so when its right-side-up it locks and when you lift it it is able to be changed its just a bit annoying there isnt a simple pin on some buttons or some other mechanism. I suppose this slightly difficult way is the safest though so a child cant pinch their fingers or accidentally drop it down.
Overall great, especially if you dont want to take up too much space.
The slide out tray and the light and the adjustable angled top are all pluses, we just dont get much use out of them. Theyre all sturdy and good too though.
I have to say i was Pretty nervous about this desk but once my fiance built it it was well worth the price and purchase overall! It is sturdy and holds up my very tall 8 year old.
Very happy with the desk. Looks sleek, sturdy and reasonably easy to assemble. Love that it is adjustable, has a large drawer, iPad stand, and lamp with different with varying settings. Very happy with this purchase.
