Very good value / just one problem / I bought this bed for my 18 and 20 year old daughters who share a room when both are home. They are very sturdy and hold standard twin bed mattresses. The space between the beds is great. Both of my daughters can sit up in their respective bunks. We put it together in about 3 hours.
The issue is with the ladder. The holes do not line up in any way to attach the ladder. We took it apart and put it back together in every way we could and there was no way to make the ladder attach. We ended up buying a separate ladder that just hooks on.
Not like any bunk beds I have ever seen. The bottom bunk is barely off the ground the top bunk is very high. My husband is 8ft and was able to sit on the bottom bunk and his head wasnt even close to the top bunk. Putting it together was a huge pain. All the parts are labeled and all that was great until you had to pop in about 100 little plastic pieces that dont want to fit. We have only had the beds a day. They are sleeping on them for the first time right now so I dont know how they are going to hold up just yet. Doesnt seem like they will last long though.
WARNING: I started to assemble this bed today and it was not making sense. The parts did not match the image in the directions. I called the manufacturer, the first person I spoke with said maybe they were mislabeled and I should try to switch the parts. Then I found another part that did not match. I called again. The second person I spoke with said, Oh, sorry. The directions and parts have changed, you received the old directions. REALLY She then emailed me a PDF of the correct directions. They did make sense, but saying that, there is no way anyone could do this in an hour. Also, the slats are a pain to insert and the plastic tabs that hold them in place are very difficult to insert. I put them in boiling water to soften them up. This helped a LOT! It is finally assembled and does seem pretty sturdy. Most bunk beds have an opening. This bed requires you to lift your legs over the bars. Again, dont even begin to assemble unless you are certain you have the correct directions. Good Luck. (P.S. When I called the manufacturer I actually got a live person on the phone with the first ring / aming!!)
This thing was not fun to assemble. My hands still hurt. But, now that its done, it seems fine. Havent used it yet, but it looks like it will be fine for when kids come to spend the night.
I just got this about 5pm today, was very happy with the speedy delivery , started right away to set it up got all the frame work up very nicely. It seems to be sturdy enoughBIG PROBLEM am dont know how to get the plastic tab lock in and i really dont think its because am a woman.Am i gonna have to send this back
We bought the loft bed because of the space saving issues we have and liked the idea of adding a futon underneath at a future time. What we found out is the futons are wider. Even though it was shown with one, we cant make it work. Not even a standard twin frame would fit. Really disappointed especially with dimensions.
We bought this for our two girls, 6 4. We dont have long term plans for this bed//maybe a year or two until the 6 year old is comfortable enough to transition to her own room//and I am sure that the bed isnt made to last long term. I do have to say that the package arrived quickly and nothing was damaged. In putting the bed together, I quickly realized how poorly the instructions were written. We had put together a bunkbed/futon combo the previous night for our oldest child and those instructions were much more informative.
As we put together the bunkbed, we became familiar with those nasty plastic tabs everyone talks about. They a a total pain in the neck and I eventually gave up and let my hubby finish because he is much stronger. Some tabs went in easily and some were extremely hard. There is a trick to them in that you have to make sure they are facing the right direction before you try to press them in.
When e bed was all put together, my husband commented on how much sturdier the bed is compared to the other one we put together. I do agree. However, when my 55 pound kid climbs up the ladder, the whole bed creaks and shakes. Im not confident it would safely hold the 300 lbs. it claims to hold on each level. I am neutral on this bed. It was cheap, arrived quickly and will serve its purpose. If I planned on keeping it around for a long time, Id probably knock off another star.
The item look good ,just they send me one was little broken.the top twin one pillar was bend little bit .I was very hard to connect it,and the white color little bit get rusty.everything just so so.

its better than nothing
this bed is huge took three hours it is very wiggly when you climb on it if you climb with no shose the bars hurt
shorter than expected
its shorter than we thought it would be. if youre 5 feet or more, you cant fit under it. it still is a cool looking bed.
