Overall this bed is a well engineered bed, seems to be perfectly fine for a small child however I would not recommend getting anywhere close to max weight. Legs are smaller than 2x4 and held together with m6 bolts (2 per leg). You will get a bag of bolts, screws and dowels. Screws, bolts, washers are all different sizes and nothing is labelled whatsoever. The majority of the time putting together will be sorting the hardware box. They bothered to assign part numbers to the various screws and bolts but they mean nothing, as once again, nothing is labelled. One of the bottom bracing boards was cracked down the middle that was part of the staircase so I had to make my own due to once wooden dowel was slid in, it split right in half. Other than these factors overall it was a decent frame. At this price point one could expect some hardware to be labelled instead of thrown loosely in a bag.
I really likeed this bed on and their page had stated that the bed is very sturdy. I was actually very disappointed with the quality of this bed. It felt like pressed wood and not study.
Also it States that in fits a twin mattress well. as soon as I put the mattress my 7 year old can easily flip off the bed because the railings are not high enough. Thinking about returning this product but she hasn't even had a chance to use it. But I'm too scared because of the railings it only leave 1 inches with the mattress and gives no support.
There's no Room for support or safety from falling. The reelings really need to be higher than they are.
You literally have to buy a twin size mattress that's very thin with no support so your child doesn't fall off the bed.

My 3 year old daughter loves this bed! After reading the reviews I was worried about the 10 in mattress I got her but there is plenty guard rail to keep her from falling. Took me about 4 hours to put together while being interrupted by kids. Only difficult part of the instructions was the stair railing. I used a drill with the Allen wrench bit instead of by hand with the ones provided, definatey went faster that way.
Even though its more of a childrens bad, I ordered the loft for my college apartment because of its storage capabilities. Underneath it I was able to fit two sets of drawers and one shelf, along with still having room behind it for storage.
As far as set up went it took a couple hours, but it wasnt too terribly difficult. It was time consuming but the instructions were easy to follow. As far as sturdiness, It is a little bit wobbly, but I attribute most of that to the fact that my bed rest on hardwood with no rice or skid pads underneath that. I feel very safe in the bed and very well supported as a full-grown adult. I think this would be great for children or anyone looking to save space.
If you are an adult and dont want to use a ladder, the bed is a reasonable height where I just have a little baby step ottoman and I can get up into the bed and it looks very nice

Beautiful loft bed for my 7 year old. It really transformed her room. I am afraid to try 400 lbs on it but my daughter and I are ~245 lbs. together. It does sway some with me on there, but I had to try it out. Couldnt let her have all the fun. Overall great bed and it has gotten several compliments.
This bed is pretty amazing and my kid loves it. It's the perfect height for a secret playroom underneath.(Used 3 yards of fabric, a strand of left over Christmas lights and a fan for the play space. Our son loves it) With two people it took us 3 hours to assemble and that was with using a drill. The bed is wobbly but it's a loft, what do you expect? We will be adding a sheet of wood under the bed as extra support. We will also be adding additional brackets to secure the stairs to the bed, as the brackets provided wasn't enough, to us. The only true complaint that we had in assembling this bed was the lack in identifying the seemingly 1000 different screws/bolts. If everything had been labeled, the bed would have been put together much faster. Overall, great bed, definitely worth the price.
