I got this back in January, and now in September Im looking to buy a new bed frame. The middle is giving out completely. Its not sturdy at all. Putting it together was a pain in the rear. It looks so great. Definitely fit the style I was going for but Im worried its gonna break any night now as Im trying to get some money together for a new bed so quickly.
This bed is super cute and was exactly what I was looking for for a great price. I think I ordered an open box one - cant remember. Nothing crazy happened on this bed and Im a single person of average weight, but one of the middle supports broke inward, hanging by a thread. I was able to pop it back into place for a while, but it eventually broke totally off and I saw that it was all rusted where it connects. Not sure how that wouldve happened. Ive only had it for about 3 months. Its still usable and supports me if I climb into bed slowly and dont flop around or anything, but Im sadly replacing it already.
I originally gave 5 stars but after using it for a few months the middle support posts have started to bend and they dont support the bed anymore. The bed creaks when you move. Its okay for the price but dont expect it to last for long.
This took forever to assemble, and I had a friend helping - but still worth the money. Very sturdy. Looks nice. Lots of storage room. The only down side is the bar holding up the center makes it hard to fit bins underneath. But still a great purchase. Especially for the price.
Note - if you use a box spring AND mattress, the mattress will cover a lot of the headboard. It you want to display the head and foot board you should refrain from using a box spring.
So this bed is a pain to put together. Also the head board is not as high as it looks in the picture. Its ok. I wouldnt recommend for anyone over age 10.
We recently assembled the bed we purchased and whole assembly took a while it was fairly self explanatory. We did end up using our own tools as the ones provided were not the best quality. The bed is beautiful and will be a perfect addition to our new home!
I love this bed. It is very sturdy. The only down fall is the leg at the edge of the bed in the center. Once you get used to it being there, it is not an issue any more.
