Handsome, simple, clean lines // no complaints.

The piano black finish creates a clean look that will allow an entertainment system to not dominate a room, and for the furniture and equipment itself to not distract from the when in use. The quality of this exceeds expectations driven by the cost, and no part about it suggests any cut corners, slipshod construction, or poor quality of materials. Nice understated for those who arent wall mounting (or those who want to store other AV equipment and/or consoles under a mounted set).

Aesthetically Beautiful, But Not Great Quality Construction

I struggled with how to assign a numerical rating to this console. If the rating is based solely on aesthetics, it is an easy 5. If it is based on the quality of the materials, it teeters between a 2 and a 3. The reason I settled on an overall rating of 4 is because anybody who is shopping for a console large in the 200 price range knows that the quality of the materials isnt going to be top notch. These shoppers are likely looking for an attractive piece of furniture to last a couple of years. Based on that definition, I consider this unit to be a reasonable product for the price. The assembly instructions direct you to insert all fasteners into all components before you put any of the unit together. The result is, if you are not EXTREMELY careful, these parts will rub against each other during the assembly process and the surfaces will become scratched. The surfaces are only a plastic coating, rather than paint, so they are not at all durable. Rather than risk significant surface scratches, I recommend that rather than inserting all of the fasteners into the pieces in advance, the assembler should jump ahead in the instructions to the section where the component assembly begins and then place the fasteners only into those parts that are being assembled together at that step. The assembly went smoothly, and I did not damage any parts. Of course, if you have a big enough area to spread out the parts so that they do not touch each other, then following the instructions as written will not be a problem. The instructions do not mention this, but the s two doors are up and down, side to side, and in and out. The hinges contain these adjustment points. You can use these adjustments to create a consistent gap around the doors and to ensure that the doors are flat against the outer wood trim. My last warning: the three units are attached to each other with brackets screwed into the wood structure. Since the wood is not hardwood, but pressed wood, I would advise against lifting the unit unless you have someone supporting the center section.? The attachment screws are small and easily ripped out of the wood if placed under stress, which WILL happen if you lift from the two ends.? I suggest that you either assemble the console where you want it installed or unfasten the joiner brackets first if the console needs to be moved. Overall, this console looks very nice from a distance.? It looks exactly like the stock photos.? However, it is exceptionally cheaply made and is prone to breaking and/scuffing easily.

    Gorgeous

I was extremely surprised at the superb packaging. We received this and it took us about 2 hours to put together . The color looks just like the photo and the unit is very sturdy. I love the storage as well. My only complaint is the amount of pieces used to fully construct it. Lots and lots of steps involved. The finished product looks fantastic.?It is very sturdy, so I had no problem at all putting my inch curve LG on it. It fit perfectly!

    Decent, Some Bad Instructions

Its particle board with thin (plastic?) veneer on it, you have to put the lugs and tighten them up (comes all flat packed). A few bad spots where the veneer was peeling off, but otherwise it was good. Some incorrect instructions though (see photo).

    Gread additon to a kitchen

Not too difficult to assemble.about 9 total hours with several breaks. Large deep drawers and cabinet space was enough to move all of our baking supplies in here. I would buy it again.

    Stylish looking piece of furniture

This is a solid piece of furniture. The assembly is straight forward and quite easy. I like that the instructions are easy to read with clear photos. Might sound silly to say about a set of instructions but too many times this is not the case. The only thing I did a little different was the way I put on the doors. I found it a bit cumbersome to try to screw them in and hold them because I was assembling it alone. So I tipped the to the one end and did it that way. Once it is together it looks aming in my room. The color of this to me is way more than tan that I see on the computer . This is another plus for me because in person I really like the color more than ever thought I would. It easily is wide enough for both our inch and the sound bar.

Some problems but great customer support.

I really really love this kitchen island. I did have some issues when putting it together and a small bit of a cosmetic defect. One side of the paper towel holder piece when screwed in split badly. We didnt use power tools or anything and followed all instructions carefully. Also one of the drawer stops split slightly when putting it in. This was very minor and is pretty much hidden by the drawer. I had to get down on my knees just to picture it for this review. We also had a hard time with some of the cam screws. It was almost like the holes for them were too small and the heads on them were easy to strip and hard to get in. They were pretty sturdy once in tho. As far as the bit of cosmetic damage, there was a spot on one of the cabinets where the paint looked smudged? I didnt notice it until I had already contacted customer support about the paper towel pieces or I would have showed them this too. I waited to put the cabinet doors on a few days later and hadnt looked at them real good yet. The biggest problem we had however was the piece for the paper towel holder that split on both ends very badly. I contacted the company for assistance with the price and they said they do not stock individual pieces of that specific piece, but they refunded me 50 and my husband was able to later use some wood glue wood filler and a bit of paint to fix it. Overall it is great for the price we paid id you factor in the 50 off the company threw in and it completes my kitchen so well. Had they not given me 50 back I would have given this much lower rating. Its unacceptable to pay 300 for something for it to have this many issues. As a whole the cabinet is sturdy but on some parts you can tell they have cut corners.
