purchased one queen size storage platform kit to see how good, or bad it would be. for the money i was willing to experiment. to my delight this piece of furniture was a breeze to put together. yes, there are a million screws but a screw gun makes short work of them. a brad nailer is handy for the drawers but not essential. the machining was precise and the instructions are easy to follow with accurate pictures of what you are suppose to do. my wife and i liked this kit so much we bought three more! the instructions say 5 mins for this or 10 mins for that. forget it. the assembly is not a speed test. im 61 years old and fairly handy but an extra person for the final step is very helpful. friends that have seen these bed frames cant believe the quality for the cost involved. i highly recommend this product.

Our solution to that is to not lift the bed but slide itAnother negative is that not all the drawers close flush with the bed. of the 6 drawers 4 close flush. But that is not a big deal to me.
Aside from that one negative my fiance and I really like the bed. It looks sturdy and is very aesthetically pleasing. Weve had many compliments on the bed and people are shocked at how much (or how little) it cost

The bed is solid, well have to wait and see how durable it is but, seems fine for now.
After reading some reviews about quality and how difficult it was to assemble, I took the risk and decided to purchase this bed anyway. I was very pleased with what I actually received. The bed is VERY heavy, and solid once assembled. The instructions were very clear, the pre-drilled holes were lined up and all the hardware was included. I actually allowed my 16 year old son to assemble the bed. He only needed minimal help holding pieces still but otherwise, there were no issues.
Pros: The bed is a great height, it was easy to assemble, it is sturdy, the drawers run very smoothly.
Cons: The slats that the bed rests on are exceptionally cheap quality, and bowed (it does not seem to affect the mattress though). The boxes were very heavy and you need a large area to assemble the bed because the pieces are so long. The bottoms of the drawers will not support very much weight.
I wish I could give the bed 4.5 stars instead of only 4. I would take half a star for the quality of the slats. I suppose once the body weight is evenly distributed across all of them, they are ok, but I just wasnt please with bowed and splintered wood.
If you purchase this bed, one tip.. use a power screwdriver. There are MANY many screws, and it will cut your assembly time in half or more.
The bed looks good and drawer works great but I have to test in time to actually see how it performs. Aesthetic wise it looks awesome with the right proportion and perfect size for queen mattress. Customer service is great from the manufacturer as they send the replacement parts when I requested. The shipment comes from Canada so it may take a while which I dont mind waiting. They were kind enough to explain me the custom related time lag which I totally understand and have no complains. The packaging was good considering the weight of the item being shipped.
The few design flaws:
1. The screws for the drawer rails frees itself during assembly- problem could be in the material of the board, may be not enough wood density.
2. The bolts on the side rails are not recessed and thus damaging the drawers every time you close the drawer. Although it is minor but feels bad when you see every time it is happening to your bed.
3. The drawer could have been a little deeper but then you need a bigger room too.
I bought this bed almost a year ago. It arrived quickly and was in good condition. One corner was damaged during shipping. It wasnt worth sending it back. I dab of super glue and it was as good as new. I bought the same bed for my niece. There were a ton of negative reviews. I was amazed. Im a big guy. 68 275 Ive broken every bed Ive owned since I was 12. Ive tried to break this bed. Lol No such luck. It doesnt shimmy or wobble. It doesnt make a sound. Its amazing. Ive paid twice as much for a bed frame and it lasted half as long. Yes, it is pressed wood. The drawers are at best flimsy. Theyre great for socks, underwear, or pillows. Not much more. Overall, I would and have bought this bed again.
The Manhattan Storage Bed arrived in a timely fashion. It took about 8 hours for a professional builder to assemble but once done it looks very nice. The hardware is above average quality, the drawers slide nicely. The wood is not of the best quality so set up should be done in the bedroom. I do not recommend moving the bed frame with bed on top.
It would be great if the bed manufacturer made more room for your toes at the bottom. However, For the beauty and function of the frame I would recommend this storage bed.
The bed arrived on time in 2 packages as stated. Upon opening as instructed all the parts were accounted for. The putting together was rather easy with the well detailed instructions. Only needed some help from my mate with the heavy pieces. Bed went together in one day and the drawers the next. The only reason it is not 5 stars is the center drawers do not fit well. Must have something to do with the frame not the drawers. It is not noticeable nor does it hinder the use. Im very pleased with the purchase.
