Can a king bed fit under the twin if the king sizes are 76 wide and 80 long .. I know the bed would be sticking out but thats ok .. I just want to know if it will fit before I buy it
A bit wobbly and the ladder is hard to climb, but overall its okay. My teenager loves the futon and it is great for her to use to watch tv or for a friend to spend the night. We did have to wait 3 weeks to get it because it was back ordered, but I guess thats because the price is so good.
I ordered three of these beds for my children. Buy them, they said. Well be so hip! Thanks to Prime they arrived promptly. I opened one and was immediately intimidated by the number of parts. Not one to shy away from such things I jumped into action. After one hour I only had one end assembled poorly and had invented at least 30 new curse words. I had assembled the bottom piece upside down, said the hell with it and there it sat for at least a week. I eventually paid my teenaged sons friend to help my son put the beds together. 2 of them. They were time consuming and tedious enough that the kid, who is super polite, said, Maam, I REALLY want to help with that last bed but Max and I have been friends for too long for these beds to ruin it. I will have to come back on another day. The last box is still leaning on a wall. The two that are put together look really great in my girls room. There is also some awesomely long pieces of cardboard in the boxes great for sliding down staircases.
We have had these beds for 2 months and already the front middle leg has fallen off. The piece just came off while the screws for it are still in the bed. The bed is also quite wobbly to climb on. While it says it can take a person of upto 250lbs, I doubt that it actually true. My son is 3 years old and weighs 30 lbs and this leg broke. I have emailed the manufacturers about it and will update the review once I hear from them or not.
Pretty good for a teen. A little bit more wobbly than Id prefer and we had to add padding to the ladder since it was a little rough to step on barefoot. (We cut up fun noodles used for swimming - which worked great and added some color.
Was not difficult to assemble although instructions did leave a bit to be desired, after a couple false starts it went together easily and works quite well for what it is. Be sure and get the thickest mattresses you can afford though - I think a thinner mattress, youll be feeling the cross slats.. Might be overcome by cutting a sheet of 1/4 inch plywood to go on top of the slats though if you like a firmer mattress.
We use this as a bed for our toddler. It is the lowest profile that I have seen. We will get bunk beds at some point for our boys and wanted something that we could potentially use somewhere else in the house at that time. I love that it is low to the ground so it was an easy transition for our little boy. It might be too big to slide under some beds with a regular mattress on top, but one could always put the higher bed on a little block if you needed an extra inch or so to slide the trundle under. Be sure to measure how much room you have under the bed, but also the dimensions of the over all bed. We have an antique canopy bed and I think that this is a little bigger than the footprint of that bed. We put a 7 inch foam mattress on this from Brentwood (purchased on and our little guy loves it.
Also, I warned my husband from other reviews that it might take a while to put together and that he should leave extra time to do it. I dont know if it was the challenge or if it really is easy to put together, but he had it finished in 10-15 minutes.
Very well built for a you-do-it product. Feels strong and sturdy for an occaisional trundle use. Very happy with this unit. The wheels roll straight and smooth. I have no experience with any others, but would buy this one again. I feel it rates the high reviews bestowed on it by others!!!
Let the buyer beware. You have been forewarned just as I had before making the purchase. The unit arrived quickly but was missing pieces. Rungs of the ladder. Washers.
If you can put together an Ikea product then you shouldnt have trouble here provided that all of the parts are included in your package. As others have warned, the plastic pieces which hold the mattress bars in place are going to hurt you when you put them into the frame. About half of mine would not go in. In comes the screw driver and rubber mallet. Problem solved! The pieces are used to keep be mattress supporting slats in place so you have to use them I suppose.
It might be to your benefit to purchase the item locally so issues you encounter could be address.

Nice and easy to assemble.. Just make sure to get a good thick mattress.
