I bought this to use with a memory foam mattress. Assembly was easy and straightforward and the instructions were clear. Its all solid wood except for the center support underneath, which is metal. Ive had it 6 months now and there is absolutely no creaking or saying/bowing of any parts.
Some foam mattresses have a spacing requirement for between the support slats. As you can see from my pic, the space between the slats is 3 and 5/16 inches.
Im very happy with it and highly recommend it.
This is a very well-made bed for the price. It is very sturdy and holds up my helix mattress well. My only issue was that the box it came in said queen size instead of king which is what I ordered. Luckily I measured it and discovered it was really a king. Good thing I didnt return it.
We were looking for a sturdy frame that will last with good quality wood for our memory foam mattress. Time will tell how long it will last, but so far we are pleased with this. It has been much more comfortable than our last frame. The wood slats are sturdy and have not broken. We also have two big dogs that jump on the bed and there has been no movement. The height is just right for us. Not too low. Great price for what we received.
Over the years I have assembled a wide range of furniture. I have to say the bed we ordered from was top of the line. The wood quality was sturdy, the instructions for assemble were the best Ive seen. Their customer service was top notch. Very well priced and highly recommend.
