    Good Bike

I like the bike. My husband bought it for me, because I dont have a car, so I have to walk everywhere and he worries about me walking especially at night. and with my new job coming up, thisll help out a lot. Its fast, but not super fast. it took me a couple times riding it to get used to how to works, but other than that it works great. the only issue I have is that the charge doesnt hold as long as I would like it to, but it still holds long enough to get me from point A to point B. I would say, if youre someone who doesnt have a car or licence and need to get from one place to another and back, then this would be a good bike for you.

    100/mile review on the EB/5

I hope this review helps give some anecdotal specs for people wondering if it is fast or if the battery will last or if it will go far enough. I purchased this bike with a wild hope that it might supplement a daily 12/mile commute (24 total). Short answer: Yes it absolutely did and it is fun while it does it. To give some details, 1: My commute is most definitely not flat; there are some challenging hills with high grade, 2: I am 511 and with my backpack together are starting to edge towards 200lbs. Having done my commute now four times and some grocery shopping, I can say a few things that may be helpful: 1. While I do charge my battery before the return leg of my commute (12 miles then 12 miles), I never seen the battery drop lower than 2 of 5 bars even while using the throttle at full for most of a 12 mile trip. 2. I have no problems to speak of with the hills; and I know for sure I would not be able to make this same trip on a regular bike without suffering the consequences during my work day. Reasons I chose 4/5 stars for this bike: 1. If I ever get a flat tire it is practically impossible to change it myself. Essentially I am just waiting for that to happen and at that point I will be forced to rely on Lyft/Uber to save me. Thats something that can be designed better into the bike and should never require shipping the bike around. 2. I am struggling to get any kind of proof/of/life from support when I try to use email. However, I am extremely grateful that they were able to replace the bike when I opened an official repair order though it took a month. Recommendations: 1. If you are expectation is a fun E/bike for short stints; I would buy this bike again. I still enjoy it after 100 miles. 2. If you expect this bike to be an awesome foldable bike and an awesome E/bike, I would look for something more expensive to span both expectations. This is bike is good enough in both categories and even seems to beat its own suggested specifications but it is not designed to be stellar. 3. Beware this bike is basically on or off and if you initiate the electric motor from a stand still you risk ending up in the dirt. I combat this by getting some momentum *before* I turn on the electric motor. 4. If you buy this bike, keep the box. This saved me later when I had to perform a replacement repair. 5. I havent tried this myself yet, but I suspect adding standard bike/store sealant into the tires may help add a little insurance into avoiding potential flats and could save you the headache of having to ship the bike just for a flat tire. 6. After 100 miles I am actually discovering how slow the top speed is and eventually it will push me to buy a real electric bike even so I still feel the power of the motor it does have.

    what a bad product

Since I bought it, I used it very little And for the winter I stopped using it and the battery no longer lasts at all, I only walked 4 miles and it turned off, I needed a new battery

    Good little bike.

Good bike. Exactly as described. Doesnt handle bumps very well. I drive it around my condominium and avoid speed bumps at all cost. Doesnt handle them as well as a regular bike. Does go about 15mph. Using pedal assist does seem to lengthen the battery life. All in all a good little bike for the cost.

    Sadly, Big Disappointment

In the 10 days I had it, and a couple of enjoying rides in, the rear tire went flat. The front air receptor (pic no pump) is different from the back by the way its angled, the ease to access with air pump and the lack of a base to the receptor so there is a gap to the side of it (pic with pump). I even let out the air to see if base dug deeper in tire but no go. I will be returning b/c this just shouldnt happen so quickly and based on other negative reviews stating what a hassle it is to get rear tire replaced. Please note back tires rim and wire connections is vastly different from the front tire. You will need a special pro pump and a pro for replacement. Update: I decided to contact directly because I was hoping that they would have local trusted service repair providers based on something stated on their website for another product. However, when I mentioned that I just had a defective tire they said I would still have to ship across country. I did a online estimate on ground shipping cost which would be 138. This would have to be paid every time there is a issue as well as weeks of turn time. They said based on warranty, they could ship out the part but cant provide directions on repair. But again, the rear tire is part of the motor hub and really does need professional tools. I thought I would luck out but no. This was perfect before this and now I wish I never tried it out so it wouldnt be such a disappointed.

    Fun bike.

Very good bike. However I upgraded to the EB/7 because I feel every bump on the EB/5.

    Fun and Practical

Been happy with the bike, although I did have to adjust the brakes to get them working properly. They were way too soft before. Covered up the logo with stickers. edit: Purchased in 2018 and used it for a few months before I moved. Then it sat it in the garage for 3 years and now the battery is toast. I dont have a problem buying a replacement battery but for whatever genius reason the battery is irreplaceable so this eb/5 is now junk and I need to purchase another 500+ ebike

    Great bike when it works

All around perfect for commuting and such However, If you ever get something as simple as a flat, things get really complicated. You have to return the whole bike. They can ship the part for you to replace but it isnt recommended that you replace it yourself because its just THAT complicated to replace, it isnt a typical bike as it involves electric wires and stuff. If you are into being a mechanic or have spare money for buying a box and paying for shipping if something goes wrong, this is for you. I now have to spend money to buy a large enough box to ship this back

    Great bike for commute

I have been using this bike for almost 3 months now and it is working great, I use it as my mode of transportation going to work 3 miles everyday I charge it every 3 days, it does not have a shock absorber like the mountain bikes, it would be great if it has a headlight but so far I love this bike.

    Great e assit city bike

The bike is great for city excursions, especially in hilly SF. I love that I still get a work out, but not exhausted climbing the hills of SF. I also get a lot of compliments on the bike
