Just finished building this bed last night. Took around 3 hours with 2 people. The quality seems sturdy for sure. Carefully read the instructions and make sure all the screws and parts are there. This bed is actually for my brothers, so it can definitely hold the weight. My brother that sleeps on the top bunk is around 215 and it can definitely hold his weight. The 2 attachment that goes in the middle of the futon frame is kinda a pain when you try to switch to bed and couch. I would rate it 5 stars if only I wasnt missing any screws and some of the letters on the parts were switched around. One of the screws Im missing is one of the side rails, so now I can only go up on one side. I would definitely buy again.
Not bad. Pretty solid. Really only two flaws, both of which concern the ladders.
1. Hardware is provided for two ladders, one on each side, as seen in the picture. However, there are pre drilled holes for only one ladder. It is not possible to mount the rungs for the other.
2. As others have said, the rungs are too narrow. As most people dont get into bed with shoes on, its an error to make rungs out of thin rods that dig into your feet. Making wider slats would have been much more sensible. Then you have to climb OVER the railing. Poor design.
Overall, I would not buy this item again. It has potential, but was not as great as it easily could have been. Im a bit disappointed.
Very solid, looks great, doesnt take up too much space. Sleeps two adults in bottom bunk. Assembly was time consuming but a power driver helps. so beautiful and wonderful
Exceptional quality for the cost. With the two mattresses the whole setup will probably run 500. Im not gonna lie. If you arent experienced at assembling furniture this isnt a good beginner project. That being said, just follow the directions. Really. Like seriously. If you have an idea that youve figured out how it goes together and dont consult the booklet, you will be wrong, and pissed. Just follow it to the letter. I recommend paying close attention to the holes for the stairs (skip ahead in the directions) and attaching the long horizontal rails, bottoms first with the vertical posts erect, instead of on the beds side as depicted in the booklet. My ceiling was entirely too low to flip once together. Its rock solid if you can tighten a bolt. I anticipate being able to breakdown and reassemble the unit as well, having taken care not to strip the bolts during assembly. One thing. The bed mechanism is a mother to operate at first with the mattress on top. Pull up on the back edge of the mattress while kneeling in the fold of the futon. Im happy with my purchase
A bit wobbly and the ladder is hard to climb, but overall its okay. My teenager loves the futon and it is great for her to use to watch tv or for a friend to spend the night. We did have to wait 3 weeks to get it because it was back ordered, but I guess thats because the price is so good. Its not bad its just not great.
The overall quality for this bed is pretty good. We were able to assemble it in under 2 hours with 2 people. The assembly instructions were easy to follow (just make sure the cross members are facing the right way). It is sturdy and our kids love it.
The only issue we had is with the packaging. They package it with cheap Styrofoam panels and blocks. When we unpacked it, we ended up with little white Styrofoam pieces all over. Pretty comfy for the price
Solid bed, construction with one person took about 4 hours and was relatively easy if you take your time. It is quite nice once completed. Extremely happy to have selected this one. Highly recommend
This bed has survived a move and several kids using it like a jungle gym. A few screws have become lose and even came out along the way BUT my kids put it through a lot of abuse. And my husband just has replaced the screws. At no time has it seemed unsafe though and is more sturdier than I thought. We will need to purchase another bunk bed in the future due to our growing family and I will probably go with this one or this style again. We have a small home, and this does not take up as much space as a wooden bunk bed would. If you have a small house or small rooms, I would def go with this one. Quality seems to be good so far

Solidly built with a few glaring design flaws.
