This bench is perfect! Just as pictured, sturdy, and easy to put together (Im assuming this, because The Husband didnt curse and mutter while doing it, and it seemed to come together quickly.) Great purchase.
Ive had the bench for years, and it has stood up quite well. It is solidly built, with attractive lines and even staining. I would definitely recommend it!
One end of the box fell open as it was being delivered. Luckily I was there to catch it and no damage to the product. The instructions are all pictures. It wasnt too complicated to put together and all the parts were included. It does have a 200 lb person weight limit per the instructions. Trying to find a bench cushion at local stores is impossible due to the top size- approximately 13in x 38in.

I was a little disappointed with the storage bench. It arrived promptly, was easy to put together and looks OK. There was a scratch on the from of the seat which I fixed myself to avoid the hassle. I had hoped to store shoes in the baskets but my husbands shoes dont fit. The bench is a little tall for sitting on while putting on shoes and it could be a little deeper.
I ordered bench in black, but received grey wash color. My husband had assembled it as a surprise to me when I came home, not realizing to was the wrong color, so I am not going to go to the trouble of dissembling to return, we will just paint it. Structurally, it will serve its purpose, although the baskets are slightly smaller than I had hoped. Other than the wrong color being shipped, product is as advertised.
This is a really nice, sturdy storage bench with solid wood pieces. The baskets are in good shape. I cut some fabric to line the bottoms and preserve the straw/rattan. I had a little friend (spider) crawl out with the instructions, so be careful. Thinking he might be an invasive species from Thailand, I squished him. Suggest you do the same. My only concern with this bench oddly comes from the fact that the entire thing is made of solid wood. Ive seen so many assemble-at-home furnishings that are wood veneer over composite that look just as fine upon completion as this bench. I feel like Ive personally contributed to the huge problem of deforestation in Southeast Asia. No one would call me an environmentalist, but think that stopping things like deforestation, over-fishing, and water pollution is often accomplished one purchase at a time. As beautiful as this bench is, the next time I think Im putting wood veneer over engineered woods or composites on my list of requirements.
Seems sturdy but the instruction states the bench seat max weight is 200 lbs and storage is 30 lbs. It wouldve been good to know in the description prior to purchasing it. The bottom of storage is just a panel that lays inside so Ill probably reinforce it with wood. The seat cushion sits on the seat and not attached so it slides off. I do like how it looks and a good value.
