This fits perfect in my babies nursery. I went this route instead of a rocking chair so now I can sleep in the room if need be too. But why is it so firm This would be a perfect item on all levels if it were softer.
Backstory: This was a gift from my boss after he found out that the space that me and my fiance were living in was too small for us. Allow me to explain: I suffer from chronic migraines (more on that later) and my fiance and I both work from home. The place we were living was too small to account for both of us to have an office so my fiance set up shop in our bedroom, which was all the space he needed to work. Problem was, on the days that I couldnt stay in bed to nurse my migraines, I was having such a difficult time because my fiance worked for a Helpdesk so his laptop and phones were constantly ringing. Im sure you can imagine how much that didnt help my situation. Our couch is not comfortable at all because its a cheap recliner sofa that belongs to my roommate so I couldnt lay down on it properly without being even more in pain.
Long story short: when I was able to assemble this in my office for use for when I have a severe headache, it helped SO much. Yes, its firm. It is VERY firm. Like HARD. But for headaches, its perfect. The pillows give just enough support and it takes up almost no room. My cats love it. Its honestly fantastic. I purchased a down comforter (twin size) to use as a mattress topper for guests and havent had complaints yet. Honestly Im thrilled with this purchase and I would absolutely purchase it again.
Tip for assembly to make it easier to align holes: Insert only a few screws dont tighten completely, only enough to secure. Then, Turn chair on its side so front side of arms face up. Once on its side, insert remaining screws then tighten all other screws.
I contemplated purchasing this chair bed. But Im glad I did. Its perfect. Purchased yellow, which is a nice shade of yellow btw. The reviews are true, its tuff to assemble because a few holes dont align well. Once you get past that, its not too bad. Had to request instructions from seller by email. They replied same day!! The chair is true to the pictures as advertised, including the pillows! I love that its versatile for sitting, laying back at different angles, and sleeping flat. Its a spacious wide seat area yet doesnt take up a lot of space. Perfect extra bed for guests. Also sturdy well made. Bonus: fabric has hidden velcro so you can remove for cleaning. Recommend it!
We purchased this bed chair/ottoman for occasional sleep overs by guests. It is very sturdy, easy to assemble and the material is beautiful. My husband who weighs 180 said it was very comfortable. We like that this is not a huge piece of furniture because the ottoman is a perfect size to even use as a table in front of a couch. Best part was the price, half of what we could find it locally, so let the first guest arrive!
I like the idea of a chair/bed because I have a small living space and the chair itself, is perfect. However, assembly is a nightmare! Unit arrived in 3 boxes and not all at once. Had to wait for third box in order to assemble as it contained all hardware and crucial pieces. Also, was missing 8 screws that hold pullout together with main chair. Text company and was told it wpuld probably be quicker to go to hardware store to get them. They offered 10 off purchase if I bought the missing screws. I accepted. Would buy again and recommend to others, with a warning.
The chair is honestly not very comfortable to sit in, its really stiff even with a memory foam pad on it. When its reclined its slightly more comfortable if you have a lot of pillows. The assembly was not as easy as it shouldve been, as mine came with a bent frame and two holes where screws wouldnt go in because they were filled with stuff (I think cotton). But all of this is only enough to knock off one star because its honestly the coolest chair with how it so easily converts between several different ways to sit or lay. The ottoman part is way more plush than the chair part too for some reason.
Id been looking for yellow chairs to match my decor now the search is over! I ordered 2 they are far more than chairs so far have lived up to its description. Believe the hype, they are all of that Love, love, love them so does everybody who has seen them! Entire experience was pleasant. Im a happy customer! Thanks
