Overall pleased with our purchase. I put most of this bed together alone because my helper was MIA. And other then two screws I was able to get it all done myself. They were kind of at a weird angle. For some reason I just didnt have enough strength so my brother in law did it when he showed up. It was bought for our two youngest sons but our 21 year old son and his buddy have been using it first for a few weeks. Its a little wobbly with their weight but nowhere near toppling over. There was one little rust stain which you dont really notice. I also had two pieces that I guess you use to lock the bed in the couch position or in the bed position which I couldnt get to lock in but we havent needed to use them as it stays whichever way we have it.
One side rail had paint flaking off and was rusted right out of the box. One vertical post had minor dents out of the box as well. Assembly was labor intensive as expected. Bed is sturdier than expected and fits the purpose. Would have returned it but it was needed for guests arriving soon.
This was something else to put together... It took about 4 hrs with me my husband 2 of ours kids helping off on... After putting it together, we said never again would we buy anything like it... Some of the directions are lil backwards cause we felt that if we had started a different way vs following the directions it would have been easier not have taken so long... I noticed as I was tightening the bolts that they can easily become stripped so be careful... Be careful of the bars that go across for the mattress to be on cause those are a pain to put in have them lock into place... Also please be aware of how u putting in the side rails for the ladder to go so the holes can match up or else u risk the pain of having to unscrew one side to reverse flip it, in which we had to do that was us following the directions to a T.... Once it was up, the kids starting to go up down it, it is a lil wobbly makes a lil noise, but nothing that is unbearable which is understandable due to the material... I think its pretty good tho... I would recommend if u definitely dont mind putting all those pieces together think its going to work out pretty well considering I bought it for my step kids for when they come over on the weekends...
The bed is awesome! I was able to fit my queen sized mattress into the loft area with very few alterations; we just left the side rails off. The bed is also very sturdy. My only complaint: the stairs are somewhat difficult and uncomfortable to use, but Im sure would be fine for a child. Ive created an alternate staircase which makes it much easier for me to get up there.
I didnt have much room in my bedroom prior to purchasing this item, and now I have so much more room for activities
The bunk bed is working out great. I purchased it for my two teenage daughters that are roughly 100lbs each, because it was tested for weight. A lot of other bunk beds on the market are for kids and dont specify weight limitations. The daughter who sleeps on the bottom has strung lights and fabric panels to make it a cozy private space. I was a little nervous about putting them in the same room but its worked out great.
I just put this together - so easy! Everything fit perfect, easy to follow instructions, all pieces were there - always a plus! I bought this to be able to add easy access, extra sleeping space without having to resort to an airbed. I am going to have a plywood piece (or something similar cut to place on the frame for extra support though. I have ordered (but yet to receive a 5 memory foam mattress to use on this frame. This way, I can keep the bed made up in advance for a no fuss roll out. Ill post again once the bed is completely set up but for right now, the frame is just what I expected.
Sharing a studio apartment in NY with a relative. Both of us are grown adults. Studio sized apartment was super crowded when we had two separate bedframes, but this helped SO MUCH with space saving. It has nice underbed space.
Ended up buying this frame over other bunk bed frames because:
a prime - dont need to pay for shipping and it came SUPER FAST.
b dimensions were perfect. mainly was concerned about the heigh space of the bottom bunk because my relatives mattress was kinda thick and he wasnt kid sized. Some bunk beds we saw in IKEA had too little height space in comparison.
c if you end up changing your mind about wanting a bunk bed its ok! This bunk bed can be disassembled into two separate bed frames should you change your mind. I ended up keeping it in bunk bed form because we loved the extra space it gave us and I got used to climbing into bed.
My awesome, but now ex boyfriend put them together with my sons. The first one took them maybe two hours. The second one was maybe 40 minutes. They are pretty high, higher than standard wood ones. They are a bit wobbly-- they are on stilts. The ladder really hurts your feet, were looking for a way to soften it.
We like them very much.
So far so good. I got it for my 6 yr old and 10 yr old and they havent complained one bit about their new bed. I can see it wobble a little when my youngest climbs to the top but not enough to worry me. I have laid on the bottom bunk just to check for comfort...I like the fact that its light enough for me to push around to vacuum underneath but the kids dont move it..

Perfect for small apartment living.
