    Beautiful! Sturdy!

First, let me say that this is real wood, and it is a SOFT wood, subject to dings and scratches. My two year old was "helping" me and my husband put this together with his little pretend screwdriver and wooden wrench, and made some dings on the wood... oh well. Secondly, the allen wrench that comes with this set is horrid. Get yourself a better one to build this bed before you get too far. Makes all the difference. Besides these things, I LOVE THIS BED. Sturdy, beautiful, and easy to put together if you follow the instructions. The instructions specifically state using a "6 inch mattress" for both beds. Great bed!

We bought this as a temporary bed set up

We visit my parents a couple of times a year and use this bed as a set up and take down. Very sturdy and solid. We replaced it with a metal bunk bed that we mistakenly bought last year. Always go with wood! Very pleased and our son and daughter were able to share a room and sleep soundly for a couple of weeks, no problems nor complaints.

    Incredible quality for the price

I bought these bunk beds for less than 300$, and I am surprised with the quality of the wood (really beautiful wood, which I didnt expect), the screws, and even the packaging. The instructions are really clear, with drawings and text help, and all the different screws were in a separate little department. ALL the parts had a little tag with its part number, so it is really easy to assemble the thing, and to use the correct screw each time, you just cant do it wrong. The beds look really nice, and are really sturdy, when you climb to the top you dont feel that shaggy/bunkbed type of thing. Overall, this is one of the products that have surprised me the most, I love it and would absolutely recommend it. The manufacturer really tries to deliver a perfect product. Five stars.

    Worth the price.

These bunks arrived before the estimated time. The instructions were very easy to follow and all the parts were there. I did see a few areas where the wood had been damaged by shipping. I was able to strategically place those so they are not noticable at all. My son loves them. They are very handsome and sturdy bunk beds.

    Great Bunkbed

Received the bed yesterday and put it together this morning. Packaging was excellent with no damage to parts. Assembly took about 3 hours with the help of my son and daughter. The instructions were excellent and we did not have any issues with putting the bed together. The quality of parts and the final product were better than expected, this bed easily compares to the 500/600 dollar beds I saw at the furniture stores. I still cannot believe I could get this great a deal from and free shipping to boot. My daughters are absolutely delighted.

    Better Than Expected

I was skeptical about this bed after reading some reviews. I even tried to cancel my order after reading some about them smelling like fumes. Somehow my browser wouldnt send the info so the order came anyway. Im really glad it did. There was no smell at all coming from the pieces. Everything was there though a couple pieces were broken in shipping. I called and the company rep was very helpful. My only complaint is that it took them 4 days to ship and 7 days total before I could put the bed together. Beyond that, the bed looks great and its solid. My kids love it. For the money I cant imagine better bunk beds. I highly recommend this item especially for those on a budget.

    EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED

I ordered this item based on the positive reviews and it was shipped for free via Prime. When i received it, I was very hesitant, and seriously considered sending it back...the box it came in didnt look like much and I had serious second thoughts.... However, once i opened the box and started assembling it, my confidence quickly grew. This item is easily assembled, sturdy as any bunk bed ive ever seen and the overall quality is very good. Needless to say, Im pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase. If you are looking for an economical bunk bed, buy this one...you wont be disappointed.

Sturdy and attractive, but received with no hardware and bottom bunk has low clearance

We received the package promptly and in good shape thanks to . However, there was no hardware included whatsoever. I called and let know and they shipped it out within a couple of days, but didnt apologize or seemed surprised at all which leads me to believe this isnt all that unusual. Boo for poor quality control and customer service reps with no personality. The bed is sturdy and the blue is very nice - not really dark enough to be navy, but a nice medium blue. My kids are young so I like that this bed is a lower profile than some others. I am 5 3 and can kiss my older daughter goodnight when she is tucked into the top bunk. This comes at a price though. The bottom bunk is very close to the top. They are pretty sandwiched together, in fact. It is annoying to not be able to sit up very much in the bottom bunk and it is a major pain to make that bed. I saw a low profile bunk bed at (the Tromso) that was about the same height, but allowed for much more room between the bottom and top bunks because the bottom bed was positioned significantly lower. Then again, that bed could not be separated to use as two freestanding beds. The Tromso would have been more convenient, but didnt look as nice as this one. Still, at times I have regretted my choice. This issue doesnt seem to bother the kids, but irritates me and might be a comfort issue for a larger child. Another reviewer had mentioned the top bunks raw wood slat base being a safety issue for the child on the bottom bunk. We also felt this could be a potential problem, but it was easily solved for about $12 spent at Home Depot. My husband cut and neatly nailed three MDF boards to the slats so there is no danger of whacking your head on the sharp corner of one of the exposed slats as you get in or out of the bottom bunk. It looks much neater too. In summary, this bed is very sturdy and nice looking, but isnt perfect.

4/5 Only because I havent had it very long

Great bed for the price, I was really impressed. Not too hard to put together, it did take some elbow grease, and a couple hours, but following the instructions carefully and it was pretty much step by step. I read some reviews where people had done things, so the ladder didnt line up / I didnt have that problem, you just have to follow the instructions carefully. Its very sturdy, nice looking, and all around a great edition to our sons room. One note: careful to buy thin mattresses, 6" or so. We had bought thicker ones, because they last longer, but on the top bunk, the about as tall as the rail guard, rendering it useless, and dangerous. So we had to go back and get thinner mattresses. Not the beds fault though, it even says on a sticker on the bed "use with 6" mattresses". :) If it lasts a couple years, with no issues, definitely 5 stars. Update 1/15/2014: I had to update this. This is a great bed, very sturdy, looks good, and we havent had any issues with it. Getting the thinner mattress on top really did help, it was pretty much unusable at first, and now its just fine, our son sleeps up there. The bottom bunk is a little high because have the thick mattress, but thats our fault. The bed has been great!

    Solid, best bang for buck

My first review. I feel passionately that this is best bunk bed set out there. At least for the money. Pros: Best value!!! Solid wood Sturdy Looks nice Well designed Feel it will last Fast deliver Cos Heavy box/takes a while to put together Some minor painting/wood non/conformity. The lower end bunk bed sets look cheap, not sturdy. Dont buy. Higher end sets may be nice but expensive($500/$800+). This set delivers, esp. at price ($200/300 range, best buy)!
